According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded to what they described as an active incident in the 1400 block of California Street, urging the public to avoid the area while they handled the situation. In an update, the department said "the suspect was safely taken into custody" and publicly thanked responding officers for their "hard work and diligence."
