
A man is recovering in the hospital after deputies say a woman stabbed him several times in the back during a late-night encounter in southwest Miami-Dade early Thursday. Emergency crews rushed him to a nearby trauma center, where officials listed his condition as stable.
What the sheriff said
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, the call for help came in around 12:25 a.m. from the area of Southwest 119th Avenue and 151st Street. Investigators said the woman used an "edged weapon" to stab the man multiple times in his back. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. Deputies did not immediately confirm whether the woman had been taken into custody, as reported by Local 10.
