Just after midnight Wednesday, a quiet room at the Extended Stay American Suites on McGavock Pike in Donelson became the focus of a homicide investigation when Metro Nashville officers found a man shot inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and homicide detectives quickly took over, processing the room and combing the surrounding area for evidence.

Metro Nashville Police told WKRN that officers were called to the hotel shortly after midnight and discovered the victim inside a room with a gunshot wound. The death is being investigated as a homicide, and as of now, police have not announced any arrests.
