
A body discovered Tuesday in a patch of woods in Davidson County, near the intersection of Oakview Drive and Doverside Drive, has turned a normally low-profile corner of north Nashville into the center of a police investigation.
Police secured the wooded area while detectives processed the scene and searched for anyone who might have seen or heard something. According to WKRN News 2, officials did not immediately release the victim’s identity or the cause of death, and Metro Nashville officers are leading the investigation as evidence is collected.

The intersection of Oakview and Doverside sits in the Parkwood area of north Nashville, close to the Dickerson Pike corridor and clusters of nearby residential streets. The city of Nashville references Oakview and Doverside in neighborhood planning and community-cleanup materials, indicating the woods are tucked near homes and small businesses.

Metro Nashville police and detectives were on scene collecting evidence and canvassing neighbors, according to WKRN News 2. Officials did not immediately say whether the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation or the Davidson County medical examiner had been asked to assist.
