An early-morning shooting inside a Westwood home has a quiet stretch of Shaffer Avenue under a harsh spotlight as Cincinnati police work to piece together what happened.
The gunfire broke out inside an upstairs apartment on Shaffer Avenue near Harrison Avenue early Wednesday. Neighbors said officers were sweeping through the unit with flashlights, and a tow truck later hauled away a vehicle from the street. The scene was cleared just before 5 a.m., but authorities have not released the victim’s condition or said whether anyone has been arrested.
According to WLWT, officers found shell casings under a bed and confirmed that at least one person was shot inside the apartment.
