A 23-year-old St. Louis man is at the center of a long-running child pornography investigation that started online and ended with an arrest warrant and a jail stay with no bond.
Nevzet Topcagic was taken into custody on March 7 after a judge approved an arrest warrant earlier in the week. Prosecutors have charged him with five counts of possession of child pornography, and court records show he is being held without bond.
Investigators say the case began after a string of cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, all tied to the same IP address between Sept. 21, 2022, and March 23, 2024. A Discord account using that IP allegedly uploaded dozens of illicit files. Detectives eventually linked the uploads to an email address and IP they associated with Topcagic and later secured a search warrant for Google records and Gmail accounts in late April 2024, according to FOX 2.
