Vans is lacing up for a new move into Disney Springs, with a retail shop slated for the resort’s Town Center. The sneaker brand will take over a long-vacant unit near the massive World of Disney flagship, although Disney has not publicly locked in an opening date. The addition comes during a stretch of churn at Disney Springs, where empty spaces have doubled as homes for seasonal pop-ups and fresh dining concepts.
According to WDW News Today, the news first surfaced in a Disney Springs Instagram story. Vans, which traces its roots to the Van Doren Rubber Company founded in Anaheim in 1966, is growing its presence in resort-style retail, per Vans. That initial social media tease did not include any firm timeline for the grand opening.
Where The Store Will Sit
The new shop is headed for Town Center, just a short walk from the World of Disney flagship store. The storefront opened up after Volcom shuttered its Disney Springs location in April 2025, according to MickeyBlog. During the holiday season, the now Vans-bound space temporarily transformed into Disney’s Enchanted Holiday Art Gallery, Laughing Place reported.
A Continuing Retail Refresh
Disney Springs has been leaning into a mix of big-name brands and homegrown food spots to keep locals and tourists coming back. One example is Gideon’s Bakehouse, which is rolling out a smaller concept called Six Ravens later this year that will serve “coffyns,” described as an old-school hand pie style item, alongside local draft beer, according to Disney Dining. Vans will add another recognizable footwear and apparel label to that evolving lineup.
As of the initial report, Disney has not announced an opening date for the Vans store, and WDW News Today notes there is still no public timeframe.
