
A personal dispute tied to a love triangle ended in deadly gunfire at an Antioch apartment complex Saturday, when a 27-year-old man was found shot to death in the parking lot of the Hickory Lake Apartments on Apache Trail, according to Metro Nashville police.
Officers were called to the complex just after 5 p.m. and found the victim in the parking area, police said. Detectives believe the confrontation involved two men who had been in relationships with the same woman.
Police Say Teen Boyfriend Held For Questioning
Investigators at the scene detained an 18-year-old described by police as the woman's current boyfriend. Metro Nashville police said the case "involves two men who had relationships with the same woman" and confirmed that homicide detectives were interviewing the teenager at the complex, according to WSMV.
Complex Has History Of Violence On Apache Trail
The Hickory Lake Apartments and the broader Apache Trail corridor have seen repeated violence in recent years, including multiple shootings and robberies. The complex was also the site of a fatal October 2024 homicide, after which a convicted felon was arrested, according to a Metro Nashville Police Department news release available from the Metro Nashville Police Department. Metro's homicide unit is leading the investigation into Saturday's killing.
