Pinellas Park’s leadership team is officially on the clock. On Wednesday, city officials took their oaths of office as a new term kicked off, with Sandra Bradbury sworn in as mayor and Patti Reed and Keith V. Sabiel taking their seats on the City Council. The ceremony also set the stage for the council’s next moves and reminded residents that the real action happens at upcoming meetings.
Officials Take Office
In photos shared by the city, Bradbury, Reed, Ricky Butler and Sabiel are all shown taking their oaths of office, with Butler named as the newly appointed vice mayor. The post also urged residents to plug into city business by showing up for future council meetings, according to the City of Pinellas Park's Facebook post.
How They Got Here
This term follows a quiet March selection process. All qualified candidates were unopposed, so the city skipped a general election altogether. As outlined in the city's election notice, those unopposed candidates were declared elected ahead of Wednesday’s swearing-in.
When And Where To Watch
City Council meetings are scheduled for 6:00 p.m., with agendas and dates available on the city’s official calendar. If you prefer watching from the couch, meetings are streamed live and archived for later viewing. Residents can find the full schedule on the Legistar calendar and watch recorded meetings on Pinellas Park TV.
What Residents Should Know
The city’s announcement flagged the next council meetings as April 7 and April 21 and invited residents to attend in person at City Hall (5141 78th Ave N), according to the City of Pinellas Park's Facebook post. Anyone planning to speak is encouraged to review the posted agendas or contact the city clerk in advance for details.
