
A driver was killed Monday in a two-vehicle collision on North Main Street in Springville, according to police. The roadway near 1400 N. Main Street was shut down while emergency crews and investigators worked the scene, and an official investigation into the crash is now underway.
What officials say
As reported by KSL NewsRadio, the crash involved at least two vehicles and left one person dead. Patrick Monney told the outlet that "there were no life-threatening injuries to the other passengers or the driver of the other vehicle." Authorities had not released the name of the person who died at the time of the initial report.
Traffic and scene
UDOT Traffic flagged the crash on social media and warned drivers to expect delays in the area. Crews moved in to clear debris and reopen lanes, which caused temporary backups on North Main Street while investigators documented the scene.

Springville police said the collision remains under investigation and did not release immediate details about what might have caused it, according to KSL NewsRadio. Officials said they plan to provide updates as more information becomes available.
