
A quiet Sunday morning in Hickory Hill turned deadly after Memphis police found a man severely injured, and he later died at the hospital, according to the department. Officers located the victim just after 7 a.m., and he was rushed for medical care, where he succumbed to his injuries. Detectives have not yet released the man’s name as they work to piece together what happened.
According to Action News 5, officers responded to a man-down call just after 7 a.m. in the area of Tennessee State Route 385 near Kirby Parkway. The outlet reports the man was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died. Police have not released any suspect information or details on what may have led to the injuries.
Hickory Hill’s Recent Run of Violence
The death adds to a tense stretch for Hickory Hill residents this year, who have already been rattled by a series of violent and unsettling incidents. In February, a mystery body on Charlestowne Place shook a residential block. Local outlets have also tracked multiple other serious cases, including an early-April apartment killing and a March gas-station attack that left neighbors on edge.
