A stretch of Holly Springs Road in Inman turned deadly Saturday night when a 19-year-old Wellford man was killed after his car slammed into a tree, according to authorities. Emergency crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene, and investigators have opened a probe into the wreck. A forensic exam is scheduled for Monday.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the driver as 19-year-old Reynaldo Isaiah Marroquin and listed his time of death as 7:42 p.m., according to WYFF. The outlet reports the South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene after 7:47 p.m. and that Marroquin died at the scene.
