Horn Lake police are looking for two men after an argument outside the McDonald’s on Fountain Lane turned violent and left a man shot in the shoulder. Officers arrived on March 26 to find the victim lying in the restaurant’s parking lot. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and later released. Investigators say several people were involved in the confrontation, and warrants have now been issued for two suspects they have identified.
Police Say Group Attack Turned Into Gunfire
Investigators say officers were called to the McDonald’s at 4170 Fountain Lane, where they found a man suffering from a wound to his upper shoulder after “several people jumped the victim” in the parking lot. During that confrontation, two people who approached pulled out a handgun, according to WREG. One of the two men fired, hitting the victim, who was then transported for treatment and later released. Police say they have identified several suspects and are working to track down the pair accused of opening fire.
Warrants Detail Charges Against Two Suspects
Horn Lake police say arrest warrants have been issued for 22-year-old Markevion Williams and 20-year-old Morgan Williams. “One of the two men fired a shot that struck the male victim in the shoulder,” the department wrote. According to WREG, Markevion is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and conspiracy to commit a crime, while Morgan faces a felony conspiracy charge. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Horn Lake Police Department at 662-393-6174.
Detectives Seek Video As Gun Cases Pile Up
The search comes as Horn Lake officials deal with a string of recent violent incidents. In a separate case, a shooting on April 7 led to an arrest after a suspect turned himself in, reflecting what police describe as a recent uptick in gun-related calls, according to Action News 5. Investigators are urging anyone who was in the McDonald’s parking lot on March 26, or who has cellphone or dash-cam video of the confrontation, to come forward to help build the case.
So far, no arrests have been reported in the McDonald’s shooting, and Horn Lake police say the investigation remains active. Tips can be submitted directly to the department or through its tip line as detectives continue their search for the two wanted men.
