
A midday stabbing at a northwest Miami-Dade bus stop left a man in critical condition and another person in custody on Thursday, according to authorities. Deputies responded to a call and arrived to find the victim suffering from stab wounds. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue rushed him to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. The suspect was detained shortly afterward, and the case remains under investigation.

As reported by WPLG Local 10, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said the stabbing was reported at 12:37 p.m. at the bus stop at 1176 NW 79th St. Deputies found a man with stab wounds and took a suspect into custody a short time later. Officials have not released any information about a possible motive or identified the people involved.
Victim taken to Ryder Trauma Center
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews transported the injured man to Jackson Memorial’s Ryder Trauma Center, which handles the county’s most critical trauma cases. The Ryder Trauma Center is a Level I facility and one of the region's busiest trauma hospitals, according to Jackson Health System.
Bus stop and neighborhood context
The bus stop is located outside an Exxon at 1176 NW 79th St in the Gladeview area. That same gas station drew a heavy sheriff's response in February after an alleged arson attempt, according to previous coverage.

By Thursday afternoon, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office had not released any additional information about the stabbing. Detectives are continuing to investigate, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s office.
