Braum’s is putting down bigger roots in north Edmond on Tuesday, April 14, rolling out a new location on the 192nd Street corridor that mixes burgers, groceries and ice cream under one very large roof. The store brings a full-size Fresh Market, grill and old‑fashioned ice‑cream counter, plus indoor dining, a covered patio and drive‑thru lanes aimed at both meal and grocery runs.
According to The Journal Record, the new spot at 1021 NW 192nd St. will open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14 and keep the lights on daily from 6 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. The more-than-6,000-square-foot building makes room for an expanded Fresh Market, dual drive-thru lanes, roughly 76 indoor seats and a covered patio that can fit more than 30 customers. “We’re excited to continue growing in Edmond and to serve this thriving community,” company president and CEO Drew Braum said in a statement to the outlet.
Farm-to-Table Roots, With a Grocery Cart
Braum’s runs its own vertically integrated system: cows are milked at the Braum Family Farm in Tuttle, dairy is processed and then shipped out to stores to keep products as fresh as possible. The company bills each location as “three stores in one” — a grill, an old-fashioned ice-cream fountain and a Fresh Market — a setup it highlights on Braum’s. That model is a big reason the chain likes larger footprints where the lot allows, so customers can knock out a quick meal and a grocery trip in one stop.
Extra Aisles, Longer Hangouts
The expanded layout at the new Edmond store means wider aisles, more prepared-food choices and a shopping experience that can last longer than your standard drive-through dash. On Saturday, May 2, the store is hosting Kids’ Ice Cream Day from 1 to 6 p.m., offering a free single-dip cone to children 15 and under when accompanied by a parent. The deal is good in-store only, so no sneaking through the drive-thru for this one.
