A 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a fight early Sunday inside a home on Chicago's Far South Side, turning a quiet Washington Heights block into an active crime scene before sunrise.
Officers responded around 12:50 a.m. to the 9200 block of South Green Street in the Washington Heights neighborhood and found the man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to Christ Hospital, where he later died, according to police.
Investigators say the attacker, described by officers as a known male, used a knife during the fight and then took off in a white sedan. A knife was recovered inside the home.
The Chicago Police Department provided those details to FOX 32 Chicago, which reported that area detectives have taken over the case and that officials have not yet identified the victim.
