Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will slide through before mid-morning, bringing brief heavy downpours and gusty winds. Expect quick-hit rain on the commute, then a breezy afternoon once the first round moves out.
Afternoon Winds Pick Up
Skies should start to break by late morning, with highs topping out near 80°F and southwest winds around 14 mph. Gusts could reach the mid-20s this afternoon, enough to nudge unsecured patio furniture and make high-profile vehicles feel choppy on bridges and ramps. Most of those gusts will stay below severe levels, but a few stronger pockets are possible with any lingering cells.
Week Ahead And Commute Impacts
The warm pattern sticks around through the week, with highs climbing into the mid-80s on Tuesday and Wednesday and renewed chances for showers and thunderstorms into Thursday and the weekend.
