Arizona Lottery officials said the $20,000 Mega Millions ticket was sold at the Last Stop Travel Center off U.S. Highway 93 in White Hills, and the $50,000 Powerball ticket came from a Safeway near Dobson Road and Main Street in Mesa, according to Arizona's Family. The Last Stop Travel Center lists its address as 20331 N US Hwy 93 in White Hills on its website, and the Mesa Safeway is publicly listed at 1960 W Main St in Mesa.
Draw numbers and estimated jackpots
Friday’s Mega Millions winning numbers were 37, 47, 49, 51, 58 with Mega Ball 16, according to Mega Millions, and Saturday’s Powerball numbers were 15, 41, 46, 47, 56 with Powerball 22, according to Powerball. Game operators showed the next Mega Millions drawing was carrying an estimated $232 million jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing and Powerball’s next drawing was estimated near $57 million.
How winners claim prizes and where the money goes
The Arizona Lottery outlines its claiming rules online. Retailers can pay out smaller prizes at the counter, while winnings of $600 and above require a Winner Claim Form along with an in-person or mailed claim. Phoenix and Tucson offices can cash prizes of any amount, and the Kingman office can cash prizes up to $49,999, per the Lottery’s claim guidance. The Lottery also notes that proceeds from ticket sales support higher education, health and human services, environmental conservation and economic development across Arizona.
