Officers were called to the 14600 block of South Waverly Avenue, where they found the wounded person inside the bar and arranged for transport to a hospital for treatment. No arrests were reported at the scene as detectives launched an investigation into what unfolded inside the neighborhood spot.
According to Chicago Tribune's Daily Southtown, Midlothian police said the victim was shot multiple times inside the bar before two people drove away from the area in a vehicle. An employee at the Halftime Lounge declined to comment to reporters, the outlet reported.
