UDF Stores Hit In Other High-Profile Robberies
This is not the first time a UDF location has landed in the crime blotter. United Dairy Farmers stores have been targeted in other high-profile robberies in recent years, including an armored-truck holdup in a UDF parking lot reported last November by WLWT. Federal prosecutors also charged suspects in a 2017 robbery spree that included a Montgomery Road UDF, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Montgomery Road Crime Picture
A Cincinnati Police Department problem-solving report on the 3500–3600 blocks of Montgomery Road flagged ongoing drug activity and disorder in the corridor and noted that 3641 Montgomery, the UDF store, has historically seen more shoplifting than violent crime, according to the Cincinnati Police Department. The report says police and city teams have worked with property owners in recent years to reduce crime along the commercial strip, a context that detectives say helps shape their patrols and investigations in the area.
How To Share Tips
Detectives are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has surveillance footage from the area to contact Det. Kane at 513-979-4400 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040. Investigators say that tips and video often play a crucial role as they review store footage and track down leads in cases like this.
