Prosecutors say a 19-year-old Indianapolis man first arrested in a road rage shooting on I-465 is now facing a fresh set of child sex charges, after investigators say they uncovered sexually explicit images of children on his phone. According to court records, the discovery came out of the same investigation that turned up large amounts of drugs and several homemade explosive devices. The Marion County case centers on Logan Quisenberry, who has pleaded not guilty to the newly filed counts.

Background: I-465 shooting and the investigation

The case began with an August 21, 2025 shooting on I-465 northbound near the I-69 interchange, where investigators say a motorcyclist opened fire on a vehicle in traffic. Indiana State Police later released a traffic-camera image that investigators say helped them zero in on a suspect.

Detectives obtained a search warrant the following month for a home tied to the investigation. When officers encountered suspicious devices during that search, the ISP bomb squad was called in. Authorities removed several items described as improvised explosive devices and also seized narcotics and cash from the scene.

As reported by WISH, officers recovered roughly 17 pounds of marijuana, more than two pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, four homemade explosive devices and more than $2,000 in cash during the search.

Child-sexual-material counts filed this week

According to new court filings, investigators who examined Quisenberry’s phone say they found sexually explicit photos of children younger than 12. One of the files is described in records as a collage containing 16 separate images. Prosecutors have now added two counts of possession of child sex-abuse material, both classified as Level 5 felonies.

The additional counts were filed this week, and Quisenberry entered a not guilty plea, according to court documents obtained by WTHR. Prosecutors state that the new charges came after a digital forensic review of the device. Court records list Quisenberry’s next hearing for July 8, 2026.

Legal implications

Under Indiana law a Level 5 felony carries a fixed prison term of one to six years, with an advisory sentence of three years, plus a potential fine of up to $10,000. The actual sentence in any given case is up to the judge, who can weigh aggravating factors and prior criminal history. That sentencing range is set out in state statute, summarized by Justia.

If Quisenberry is convicted on the newly added child sex-abuse material counts, any punishment for those offenses would come on top of whatever sentence might result from the separate explosives, firearm and narcotics charges stemming from the I-465 investigation.

What’s next

The case is still in its early stages, and Quisenberry is presumed innocent while the charges work their way through court. Court dockets and local reporting list the next hearing for July 8, 2026, while prosecutors say they are continuing to review evidence tied to the wider investigation.

Local authorities have said the case started with traffic-camera images and public tips that pointed detectives toward the search warrant that led to the explosives and narcotics seizure. How the overlapping allegations ultimately play out will now be up to the Marion County courts.
