
An overnight shift at Indian Hill Club in New Trier Township took a frightening turn Monday when, according to sheriff’s police, a 22-year-old employee allegedly pointed a gun at a coworker’s head. Deputies say the worker was later arrested near his home and that a loaded firearm was recovered from a vehicle.
According to the Cook County Sheriff's Office, officers were called to the private club around 2 a.m. Monday and identified the suspect as 22-year-old Jacob Chung. The sheriff’s post states that Chung was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon after the alleged confrontation with his coworker.

The Indian Hill Club sits in an unincorporated pocket of New Trier Township near Winnetka and operates as a private country club with golf, tennis and other amenities, according to Wikipedia. The tucked-away location and exclusive membership often make any police activity there a talking point across the North Shore.
Arrest and Court Status
Lake Zurich police stopped Chung and took him into custody outside his home. Sheriff’s officials say a loaded firearm was found in a Toyota Corolla linked to the suspect. According to the sheriff’s post, Chung appeared at the Skokie courthouse the following day and was ordered released while the case remains under investigation.
