
PIGEON FORGE — An early Sunday shooting at a cabin development in Pigeon Forge left a man with a gunshot wound to the stomach and another person in custody, according to local police. The victim is recovering at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, and officers have launched an active investigation into what happened.
According to WVLT, Public Information Officer Craig Cruise said officers responded to a "shots fired" call at about 2:30 a.m. and found the wounded man at the development site. Cruise told the station the suspect did not leave and was detained at the scene.
