Travelers hustling through Boston Logan International Airport will soon have a new way to grab a quick bite: Dave's Hot Chicken is set to fire up a fresh counter in Terminal B. The new spot is slated for the stretch near gates B30 through B36, tucked into the small concession space between Kelly's Roast Beef and a kiosk marked TICO. Once it is up and running, the stand will add another quick-service option for passengers trying to navigate Logan's packed summer flight schedules.
As reported by The Patriot Ledger, a Dave's Hot Chicken spokesperson has confirmed the plan and said the Terminal B location is expected to open in late June or early July. The paper noted that a "Coming Soon" rendering was already posted on a boarded-up stall when it was photographed in late May. The chain's locations page lists multiple Massachusetts outlets, underscoring its growing regional footprint; see Dave's Hot Chicken.
Vegas Trial Run Before a Boston Landing
Dave's first crack at airport service arrived last summer at Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport, where the company opened a traveler-focused unit and rolled out a breakfast menu, according to Nation's Restaurant News. That Las Vegas experiment showed how the brand can tweak its menu and operations for high-traffic, time-pressed environments full of people sprinting for their gates.
What It Means for Terminal B
Logan has been steadily refreshing Terminal B's concessions this year with a mix of national chains and locally oriented markets, a shift documented by Hoodline in its coverage of a fresh fare storm in Terminal B. The addition of Dave's fits that pattern and gives travelers one more recognizable option between gates on the south side of the concourse.
Massport has also been under the microscope over concession pricing, prompting spot checks after a Boston 25 News investigation found some items priced above the airport's "street pricing +15%" policy. That scrutiny could shape how vendors like Dave's set menu prices once they are operating inside security. It also remains unclear whether the Logan outpost will mirror the Las Vegas setup with a breakfast lineup or stick with Dave's standard tenders and sliders.
For now, the boarded-up stall and the company's confirmation are the clearest signals that Dave's will be joining Logan's post-security food floor this summer. When the counter finally opens, Terminal B regulars can expect a compact, travel-friendly menu and one more big-name choice on the concourse.
