A watch sale went sideways in Miami Gardens on Sunday night, ending with a teenage buyer airlifted to the hospital after shooting himself in the hand, according to police.
The incident unfolded near Northwest 187th Street and 44th Avenue during what investigators described as a disputed watch sale. Officials said the teen fired a round that struck his own hand and was flown to a trauma center in stable condition.
According to WSVN, Miami Gardens police said a person arrived to sell a watch to the teen when an altercation broke out. Authorities told the station the teen pulled out a gun and tried to take the watch. The seller pushed him, which prompted the teen to fire, wounding his own hand. WSVN reported there was no immediate word on whether the teen would face charges.
A string of local shootings
