
Saturday started with gunfire in southwest Atlanta, where a man was found shot to death just after midnight on White Street SW, according to police.
Officers were called around 12:50 a.m. to a report of a person shot outside 822 White St. SW. When they arrived, they found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
What Police Are Saying So Far
According to Atlanta News First, officers located the victim on White Street SW and investigators are still working to piece together what happened. As of now, police have not released any information on a suspect or a possible motive.
Another Case in a Troubled Corridor
The killing adds to a troubling run of gun violence on the southwest side. Earlier this year, a February killing on Coleman Street drew homicide detectives to that block, and FOX 5 Atlanta reported a fatal April shooting that left a 3-year-old dead near Washington Street SW, keeping neighborhood safety firmly in the spotlight.
