According to FOX 32 Chicago, the Park Forest Police Department said the horse was found near Western Avenue and Steger Road and urged anyone who recognizes the animal or knows its owner to get in touch. The report notes that a photo of the horse accompanied the department's social media post and that tips can be called in to 708-748-4701.

In a post on the Park Forest Police Department's Facebook page, officers asked residents to spread the word, writing, "Please share this post to help reunite the horse with its owner," and again listing the tip line. The department also encouraged neighbors to send along any photos or videos that might help identify where the animal came from.
