Police sealed off the area while Oklahoma City Police Department detectives launched an active investigation into the shooting.

According to News 9, officers were dispatched to a residence near the intersection and found the injured woman. Sgt. Rob Robertson told the outlet the victim had been shot in the neck. She was taken to a local hospital, where medical personnel told police she is expected to survive.

Police have not released any description of a suspect and have shared few additional details as the investigation continues.
