Shots cut through the early-morning quiet in Memphis' Orange Mound neighborhood on Friday when gunfire at a convenience store left one person injured, police said.
Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Pendleton Street just before 2 a.m., where they found a person suffering from gunshot wounds and took them to a hospital. Authorities have not released the victim's condition and say there is no suspect information at this time.

According to WREG, officers arrived minutes before 2 a.m., and investigators were examining the convenience store and the surrounding block for evidence. WREG reports that first responders found the injured person at the scene, transported them to a local hospital, and that the investigation is active.
