A typically quiet Campton Hills block turned into an active investigation scene Friday night after police found a woman dead following a reported disturbance.
Officers were called to the 4N600-block of Brookside West Drive just before 10:45 p.m., where they discovered a woman who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to ABC7 Chicago. Her identity has not yet been released.
Campton Hills police say they are treating the case as a death investigation and that, at this point, the incident appears to be isolated. Officials also told ABC7 Chicago they do not believe there is any broader threat to the public.
