What started as a routine stop at a Hardee’s on the 300 block of West Washington Street in Nashville turned tense Thursday when shots were fired, police said. Officers rushed in, blocked off the area, and combed the restaurant and parking lot for evidence before assuring the public there was no ongoing threat.
The Metro Nashville Police Department responded to reports of gunfire and detained a person of interest at the scene, according to CBS17. Officers asked people to steer clear of the stretch of West Washington Street while investigators worked and warned that drivers could expect traffic delays. Police did not immediately say whether anyone had been hurt.
