Solei Beach Club is about to shake up Miami Beach’s Art Deco District, with an 11,500-square-foot, Mediterranean-inspired day club set to debut next Saturday at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel. The oceanfront hangout is designed to channel Spanish-Riviera style with South Beach attitude, swapping the hotel’s traditional pool-and-beach setup for shaded palapas, lounge seating and private cabanas.
The venue stretches across roughly 11,500 square feet and seats about 75 guests, according to Secret Miami. The club’s website lists daily restaurant hours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the bar staying open until 6 p.m., and promotes cabanas stocked with plush seating, large televisions and direct access to both the pool and the beach, per Solei Beach Club.
Menu and chef
Executive Chef Gastón Javier Sanchez has built a shareable, Mediterranean-leaning menu that leans heavily into seafood and social snacking. Diners can expect a raw bar, pintxos, paella and a showpiece “Seafood Colosseum.” The menu is “rooted in the spirit of the Mediterranean,” Sanchez said, as reported by What Now, which also highlights signature cocktails like the Spicy Señorita and the frozen Passion Du Solei.
Inside the Surfcomber
The Kimpton Surfcomber recently wrapped a renovation project that refreshed its pool cabanas and DAYLIFE activations to make room for a new oceanfront dining concept, according to the hotel’s listing on the Surfcomber Hotel site. The beach club is pitched as both a perk for hotel guests and a standalone daytime social hub where locals and visitors can book space for events.
A bigger trend in South Beach
Solei’s debut fits into a broader Miami hospitality playbook, where operators are transforming pool decks and beachfront real estate into lifestyle-focused day clubs and cabana programs that can pull in serious daytime revenue. The model leans on curated dining, private bookings and highly Instagrammable design to attract tourists and locals alike, according to coverage from Traded.
Solei is slated to open next Saturday (May 16), per What Now. The club’s site notes that cabanas and events can be booked ahead of the launch, and for reservations and general bookings it lists phone (305) 532-7715 along with online options at Solei Beach Club. With summer fast approaching, the new daytime spot is poised to slip quickly into South Beach’s regular rotation.
