
A Saturday night in West Englewood ended in deadly gunfire when a man was shot inside a vehicle, according to Chicago police. Officers found the victim on the 5700 block of South Damen Avenue, and he later died at a hospital after being treated on the scene.
ABC7 Chicago reports that officers were called to the block around 10:40 p.m., where they discovered a 37-year-old man who had been shot in the arm and buttocks. The Chicago Fire Department treated him at the scene before he was transported in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
