Sunday, May 3 — Chicago is waking up to a breezy, partly cloudy start, with temperatures sitting in the mid-40s and a few scattered showers sliding through the area. The chill will not last long, though, as milder air moves in this afternoon and highs climb to around 67°F while southwest winds ramp up.
Rain And Timing
Scattered rain showers are expected to be most active between 9 AM and 2 PM today, which could mean some quick, inconvenient wet spots for late-morning commutes and outdoor plans. Temperatures should top out near 67°F, with southwest winds of 15 to 20 mph and gusts up to about 35 mph. Those stronger bursts of wind could flip umbrellas inside out and briefly knock down visibility, according to the National Weather Service.
