Salt Lake’s breakfast lineup is about to get a lot chewier. Utah-based Rise Harvest has inked a seven-unit area development deal to bring Jeff’s Bagel Run to Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber counties, with the partners saying the agreement could ultimately grow into at least 15 locations across northern Utah. The first shop is already in development.
Deal Details And Territory
According to Utah Business, the agreement gives Rise Harvest exclusive development rights in the three-county territory and marks Jeff’s Bagel Run’s debut in the Mountain West. Rise Harvest says the partnership is designed to accelerate the brand’s westward expansion while leveraging the group’s existing local operating experience.
Why The Brand Picked Utah
Jeff Perera, co-founder of Jeff’s Bagel Run, told QSR Magazine that “Utah is exactly the kind of market we’ve been watching; a passionate food community, explosive population growth, and consumers who genuinely care about quality ingredients and real craftsmanship.” Rise Harvest founders Jacob Webb and April Miller said in industry interviews that they looked at dozens of concepts before landing on Jeff’s, citing the in-shop baking model and the unit economics as the deciding factors.
Rise Harvest's Local Track Record
Founded in 2013, Rise Harvest already runs a multi-brand portfolio in the Mountain West. Utah Business reports the company currently operates 28 locations across Marco’s Pizza, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and Jeff’s Bagel Run, has signed 46 franchise agreements, and employs more than 400 people. The group says that existing network will help support rapid multi-unit growth for the bagel brand in northern Utah.
What The Brand Brings
Jeff’s Bagel Run leans on scratch-made bagels that are boiled and baked, house-whipped spreads, and a full coffee program. The brand’s own site notes it is “Proudly Brewing Otus Coffee” following a 2024 acquisition. The chain’s locations page lists open and coming-soon shops across the Southeast and Mountain regions, outlining the footprint the company will draw from as it enters Utah. Jeff’s Bagel Run provides the most up-to-date look at where the brand is currently operating.
Timeline And Next Steps
Industry coverage indicates Rise Harvest plans to develop at least 15 Jeff’s Bagel Run locations in northern Utah, with the first Utah store expected to open in late 2026, according to QSR Magazine. Company leaders say more details on specific sites and opening timelines will follow as leases are finalized and build-outs progress.
