He remained in the hospital following the wreck, where his condition worsened before he passed, leaving both the skating community and his family stunned and grieving. Outside his shifts at the rink, Foxx ran a small barbecue catering business, and friends recall that he was always ready with a joke and loved to talk about his grandchildren.
The collision took place on a Tuesday evening along Wren Road near the RiverGate Skate Center. Foxx was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later developed an infection, according to reporting. Goodlettsville Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
