Deputies say a Boca Raton woman endured a night of terror in her own home after a man allegedly tied her to a chair, beat and choked her, repeatedly used a Taser, and fired a gun inside a bedroom during an hourslong ordeal.
The victim told investigators the suspect threatened to kill her and at one point held a revolver to her head. She was able to reach a family member the following morning and later received hospital treatment for bruises and other injuries.
What investigators say
Authorities have identified the suspect as 63-year-old Sergey Korol and say the incident began on June 20, with deputies arresting him the next day. According to WPBF, investigators say Korol tied the woman to a chair using rope and straps, wrapped rope around her neck while threatening her life, used a Taser multiple times, beat and choked her, and fired a gun in the room. The victim was not struck by the gunfire and later sought hospital care for bruising, swelling, abrasions and damage to her teeth.
