Federal Way residents woke up to a chaotic scene Tuesday as video showed police flooding an apartment complex after what authorities described as an alleged fatal shooting.
Dozens of squad cars lined nearby streets, which neighbors said were blocked off while detectives worked the scene and officers locked down the area around the building.
Video Shows Heavy Police Response
Footage shared by KIRO 7 shows officers moving through parking areas as multiple marked units surround the complex. According to the station, the massive response followed reports of a shooting at the property that left at least one person dead, and investigators remained on site for hours.
Another Deadly Case In The City
The scene adds to a string of deadly incidents at apartment complexes in Federal Way this year, including a fight that turned fatal in January that left one man dead. Residents and local officials have been increasingly vocal about violence in multi-unit housing as detectives continue to work these cases.
