Gunfire shattered the calm in a central Phoenix neighborhood Tuesday night as police searched for a suspect and neighbors watched crime-scene tape go up around their homes.
The shooting unfolded near 23rd Avenue and West Hazelwood Street, just south of Camelback Road, where officers moved in and began blocking off several houses while they worked the scene.
According to KOLD, witnesses at the scene said a teen girl was shot. Late Tuesday, Phoenix Police had not confirmed additional details, and officers were reportedly canvassing the area and searching for a suspect.
