Three men were robbed at gunpoint after stepping off a bus Monday night in New Orleans East, according to police. The victims handed over their belongings and were not reported to be physically hurt, but the stickup has shaken nearby residents while detectives scramble for leads.
According to WDSU, the New Orleans Police Department said the armed robbery happened at about 8:49 p.m. on June 29 in the 7500 block of Forest Glen Boulevard, after two suspects followed the three men off a bus. Police told the station the attackers pulled guns and demanded the men's property.
Investigators said the victims complied and the suspects took off on foot. Officers reported the pair were last seen running along Morrison Road toward Read Boulevard. Detectives are canvassing the neighborhood and looking for surveillance footage or witnesses who might help put names to faces.

The NOPD is urging anyone who saw something or has camera footage from the area to come forward as they work to identify the suspects, according to WDSU. As of now, police have not announced any arrests or released detailed suspect descriptions.
