Two people were stabbed late Saturday on the 5200 block of Edmondson Pike in south Nashville, and police say the suspected attacker is already in custody.
Metro Nashville police officers arrived just after 10 p.m. to find two victims suffering from stab wounds. Both were reported to have non-life-threatening injuries, according to WKRN News 2.
One victim was taken by ambulance, while the other made it to an area hospital in a private vehicle, WKRN News 2 reported. Metro Nashville Police told the station that a suspect was arrested during the investigation, although the person’s identity and any charges have not yet been released.
Edmondson Pike Corridor Back in the Spotlight
The 5200 block of Edmondson Pike is no stranger to serious police activity. The stretch has seen tense scenes before, including a December barricade and stabbing at an apartment complex off Edmondson Pike, as reported by WSMV Channel 4. That history has kept safety along the corridor on the radar for nearby residents and local officials.
Police Tight-Lipped as Probe Continues
The investigation into Saturday night’s stabbings remains active, and authorities are not saying much more for now. Metro police did not immediately provide additional information about the arrested suspect or any potential charges, according to WKRN News 2.
