
A late-night drive on Chicago's West Side turned deadly early Monday when police found a man shot multiple times inside a car in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, authorities said. Officers rushed him to the hospital, but he did not survive, leaving a residential block dealing with yet another round of gun violence.
Chicago police said officers discovered the wounded man inside his vehicle in the 4500 block of West Kinzie Street near Kilbourn Avenue at about 12:45 a.m. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead. Harrison Area detectives were conducting a homicide investigation Monday morning, according to CBS Chicago.
