What should have been a routine closing time at a South Nashville barbershop turned chaotic Tuesday when an argument over a last-minute haircut request escalated into an exchange of gunfire that left one man wounded, according to Metro Nashville police.
Officers were called to 300 Barbershop on the 5700 block of Nolensville Pike as the store was closing and found evidence that rounds had been exchanged. The victim had been shot in the arm and was taken for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries while detectives processed the scene.
As reported by WKRN, Metro police say the confrontation started when a man asked for a haircut and was turned away shortly before closing. Authorities told WKRN the man then pulled out a firearm, and multiple shots were exchanged between him and an employee. Officials have not released the names of those involved or said whether any charges have been filed.
