A man is in critical condition and fighting for his life after a pre-dawn stabbing in central Phoenix on Monday, according to police. Officers found the wounded man near 20th Avenue and Washington Street, just west of the Arizona State Capitol, at about 5:30 a.m. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and detectives have launched an active investigation, with no arrests announced so far.
