
A pre-dawn emergency call in southwest Miami-Dade ended with one man in custody and another in the hospital after a stabbing early Thursday, deputies said.
Deputies were dispatched just after 3:40 a.m. to the area of Southwest 114th Avenue and Southwest 216th Street, where they found a man with apparent stab wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition. While deputies searched the area, they recovered a weapon and detained a suspect. The investigation remains active.

According to the NBC 6 South Florida report, Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office officials said deputies arrived on scene around 3:40 a.m., located the wounded man and took a person into custody. Officials added that the weapon was recovered at the scene and that the names of the people involved have not been released. Detectives say no charges have been announced so far.

The intersection sits in the Goulds area of unincorporated southwest Miami-Dade, a pocket of the county that has seen several violent incidents in recent months.
