Chicago police are looking for a man they say has been snatching purses from women on the South Side, hitting three times in just over a week before sprinting off into the neighborhood.
Investigators say the man approached each victim on foot, claimed he had a gun, grabbed the purse and ran. Police described the suspect as a Black male, about 19 to 30 years old, roughly 5-foot-9 and 140 to 160 pounds, with dreadlocks.

According to FOX 32 Chicago, the incidents occurred on June 16 and June 23 in the Jackson Park Highlands and South Shore neighborhoods. Detectives have linked the cases under reference number P26-1-060 and say the suspect told victims he had a gun before taking their purses and fleeing on foot. No arrests have been announced, and officers are still canvassing the area for leads.
