Gunfire between several men in northeast Miami-Dade on Thursday night ended with a woman shot in the leg after she was caught in the crossfire, according to authorities.
Deputies responded to the scene and the woman was taken for medical treatment. Officials did not immediately release additional details about her condition or the exact location of the shooting, and the investigation remains in its early stages.
According to Local 10, deputies described the incident as multiple people exchanging gunfire. The woman was hit in the leg during that exchange. The station’s brief report did not name any suspects or report any arrests at the time of publication.
