Anita Gelato, the international gelato chain built on family recipes and a constantly changing menu, has set up shop inside The Venetian Resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The new counter brings late-night scoops, dairy-free sorbets and a deep bench of toppings to the resort's already crowded dessert lineup, giving Strip visitors one more excuse to hang around after dinner on Restaurant Row.
As reported by FOX5 Las Vegas, the shop is the brand's first Las Vegas location and sits directly on the Venetian casino floor. In a statement to FOX5, Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, called Anita Gelato "vibrant, playful, and uncompromising in its commitment to freshness and flavor," and said that made the brand a natural fit for the property. The debut adds yet another late-night dessert option to the resort's roster.
The company says the Las Vegas counter turns out more than 150 rotating, handmade flavors churned daily, along with dairy-free sorbets, soy-based vegan ice creams, no-added-sugar selections and low-fat frozen yogurts. Toppings lean heavily on house-made jams, syrups and fresh fruit. Sample flavors highlighted by the brand range from Milk Chocolate Salted Pretzel to White Chocolate & Pistachio and Salted Almonds & Caramel, according to Anita Gelato.
Strip dessert scene keeps expanding
Venetian guests already face an almost comical number of photo-ready sweets. We recently covered the towering CrazySundae at Black Tap as one over-the-top entry in the resort's dessert arms race. Anita Gelato plays a different angle - a rotation-driven scoop shop pitched more as a reliable late-night fix than a spectacle in its own right.
The brand traces its roots to "Mama Anita" and a small family kitchen, and the company notes it began expanding in the early 2000s while remaining family-owned, according to Anita Gelato. That background shows up in the emphasis on house-made toppings and frequent flavor rotations designed to keep customers coming back to see what is new in the case.
Where and when to go
Anita Gelato's Venetian counter is located on the casino floor past the Waterfall Atrium and through Restaurant Row, where the resort lists its dining and dessert options. Per The Venetian's dining page, the shop keeps hours of Monday–Thursday 8 a.m.–1 a.m. and Friday–Sunday 8 a.m.–2 a.m., firmly targeting the late-night crowd that floods the Strip.
If you find yourself on the Strip after a show or a late dinner, Anita Gelato now offers a quick, made-in-house stop for scoops and sorbets. Flavors rotate often, so sample before you lock in your order. You can keep it simple with a classic gelato topped with a house jam or go lighter with a fruit sorbet to cap off a hot Vegas night.
