The campus is pitching itself as a flexible alternative to the downtown grind, with month-to-month desk memberships starting at $295 and private offices running roughly from $695 to $2,500 a month. The move underscores how drive-to-desk suburban campuses remain a growth play for operators chasing shorter commutes and neighborhood demand.
The new outpost is listed at 990 Highland Drive, Suite 212, with memberships kicking off in April, according to the Solana Beach location details on TailoredSpace. The company highlights 24/7 access, on-site staff, phone rooms and conference space, along with the posted desk and office pricing tiers shown on its Solana Beach page.
Company Doubles Down On Suburban Office Nodes
Co-founder Drew Sanden told local press the company is leaning into suburban hubs because plenty of workers are overlong commutes and hub-and-spoke office models are gaining traction. “Occupancy in our suburban locations has seen consistent year-over-year growth, outperforming occupancy in traditional downtown office high-rises,” Sanden said, as reported by the Orange County Business Journal. Local And National Market Context
Industry data show the flex-office market still climbing. A Yardi Kube report, cited by Commercial Property Executive, found flex offices grew by about 15 percent, reaching roughly 9,000 locations nationwide. Closer to home, San Diego County's coworking inventory hit 154 sites at the end of the first quarter of 2026, up from 148 at the end of 2025, according to the San Diego Business Journal.
Partnering With Local Landlord At Del Mar Corporate Center
TailoredSpace opened the Solana Beach campus in partnership with Strauss Investments, which manages the Del Mar Corporate Center at 990 Highland Drive, according to Strauss Investments. The property is billed as a multi-tenant office building with executive suites, a setup that lines up cleanly with TailoredSpace's suburban campus model.
The company, founded in 2019, had about 25 staff in 2026 and expects headcount to top 50 within five years, the San Diego Business Journal reports. TailoredSpace also targets clients who live within a three-to-five-mile radius of its sites, a strategy the operator says helps keep utilization high and commutes short.
The Solana Beach campus is now booking tours and already lists its desk and office options online. The site plugs into a growing Southern California network as TailoredSpace continues to press into suburban markets where a real desk and a short drive are still a hot combination.
