A 38-year-old Miami man is in custody after a woman told deputies he exposed himself and masturbated in the parking lot of a Texas Roadhouse in southwest Miami-Dade. Authorities identified the suspect as Anthony Gonzales, who has denied the accusations but is now facing multiple indecent exposure charges.
According to NBC 6 South Florida, deputies responded on April 25 to reports of a man exposing himself near Southwest 88th Street and 162nd Avenue after a 21-year-old woman waiting in the Texas Roadhouse lot said a man rolled up, asked for directions, and then began fondling himself. She took off on a scooter to get away, the report states. Investigators say the woman later received a video showing a man pleasuring himself that same night and, when an investigator met with her on Tuesday, she picked the suspect out from a flyer posted at the police station.
How Investigators Say the Case Unfolded
The woman told detectives she clearly saw the man’s penis, screamed, and laid on her horn in her car, but the suspect kept going and eventually drove off, according to the arrest report. Investigators say the separate video that another woman shared with the victim matched the night of the Texas Roadhouse parking lot incident and helped them link Gonzales to the report.
Traffic Stop Led to Arrest
On Sunday, Miccosukee police pulled Gonzales over in a traffic stop at 17696 SW 8th St and took him into custody. He was brought to the tribe’s station for questioning, then booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Miami-Dade jail records list Gonzales in custody on indecent exposure charges, according to the Miami-Dade Corrections inmate search.
Prior Arrests and What Comes Next
Records show Gonzales has four prior arrests for indecent exposure, and he denied the latest allegations when questioned, as reported by NBC 6 South Florida. It was not immediately clear whether prosecutors would seek enhanced charges or what bond, if any, might be set. Any formal filings are expected to show up on local court dockets as the case moves forward.
What the Law Allows
Under Florida law, exposing sexual organs in what the statute calls a "vulgar or indecent" manner is a crime and can bring criminal penalties. Repeat cases can mean tougher consequences and long-term fallout. The full text is laid out in Florida Statutes Section 800.03.
Authorities have not released any additional details and are asking anyone who might have information or video related to the incidents to contact Miami-Dade detectives. The case is expected to appear on local court dockets in the coming days as prosecutors decide whether to file formal charges.
